Yorkshire Day 1st August 2010
During the week running up to Yorkshire Day (26th July - 1st August 2010) Timothy Taylor managed pubs are once again holding fundrasing events for The Army Benevolent fund.
During the week, every five pints of Timothy Taylor Ale that you buy, you will receive a free pint! Ask inside the pubs to see what exciting games and offers will be going on for the week.
All our Timothy Taylor managed house pubs will be offering a raffle with a great prize - a £152 bar tab! All profits go towards the Army Benevolent fund.
Last year throughout our Timothy Taylor Managed Pubs we raised over £1200 for the Army Benevolent Fund, lets try and beat it this year!

To help support Yorkshire Day and the Army Benevolent Fund, we are running charity fund-raising promotions at our Timothy Taylor managed pubs. All the pubs will be decked out with White Rose flags and balloons and staff will be suitably attired including the symbolic flat cap. A challenging Yorkshire quiz has been prepared, as well as a special Yorkshire food menu.
At the heart of the celebrations, which kick off on Saturday 25th July and build up to the big day will be a Charity Raffle to raise funds for the Army Benevolent Fund – such a worthy cause just at the moment – with first prize being a £151 beer tab to be won in each pub. And on the day itself all the pubs will sell Taylor’s beer at just £1.51 a pint in recognition of the brewery being founded 151 years ago.
Quote from Yorkshire Ridings:
"The society invites you or your organisation to Celebrate Yorkshire Day on August 1st each year. Yorkshire Day, a day to celebrate everything Yorkshire, but especially the integrity of the county, has been promoted by the society for over thirty years."
